Faculty members of HCTC’s English Department invite the public to a reception for Celebrating the Black Experience, a traveling art exhibit.

The exhibition will also be open for public viewing during regular business hours from 08/05–08/30. This department presents this event in partnership with Southeast Kentucky African-American Museum and Cultural Center, Inc., the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, the Kentucky Arts Council, and the Perry County Community Foundation.
The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. More information to come.
We do have a building. We love the location. We believe in what it can become. Yes, it needs work. But we are willing to do the work.
Every meaningful project starts with a step of faith. For us, that step is restoring this space so it can properly honor the rich African American history of Southeast Kentucky. These stories deserve a permanent home, and we are committed to creating one.
